Barrels are a container similar to a Chest, Dropper, or Hopper. It is often compared to a chest, but the trunk and the chest also differ.

Metal Barrels is based on the famous mod in the world of Modded Minecraft, which is Iron Chests. But instead of adding new types of chests to Minecraft, Metal Barrels is adding new types of trunks to Minecraft!
To create new mods for a mod, you can use JEI to see the crafting recipe. For Copper Barrel and Silver Barrel, you need to install mods from these two materials in order to be able to create them. Metal barrels also add enhancements to Minecraft that you can use on your barrel (Shift + Right Mouse) to level it up.
