The Minecraft Nether update introduced material stronger than Diamond. Here’s where to find Ancient Debris to make Netherite Scrap.
Where to Find Ancient Debris and Netherite Scrap in Minecraft
The recent Minecraft Nether update brought some big changes to the game, including the addition of new material that is more durable than Diamonds. Players wishing to travel to the Nether can loot Ancient Debris, which can be smelted into Netherite Scap and used to upgrade tools and equipment. Sounds pretty cute, right? So where do you find Ancient Debris in Minecraft?
Before we tell you where to find the ancient wreckage, we need to explain how to actually mine it. In particular, you will need a diamond pick on hand, since only with its help you can get the debris. So, once you take care of this, you need to jump into the Nether portal and get ready to dig. In the Nether, Ancient Debris can only be found at levels 8-22, so searching in higher or lower level areas will be a waste of your time. Also, be careful when digging because it is VERY easy to hit the lava – and there is nothing more depressing than losing all your loot in a fiery death.
If you’ve never seen Ancient Debris before, it looks like a tree and has a darker shade of brown than regular Nether blocks. It can be quite difficult to find it as it doesn’t appear very often, but you will know when you see it. After you have collected enough Ancient Debris, you can smelt it into Netherite Scrap. From there, you can combine four Netherite Scrap Blocks with four Gold Bars (see image above) and voila, you get some Netherite Bars.
With these ingots in hand, you can transform your diamond materials into Netherite materials, making them even stronger. Once you’re at the crafting table, you’ll want to put your diamond tool in the left slot and the Netherite ingot in the right slot, and you’ll have a fancy new tool.
If you want the best content in the game, you will need to take the time to do so. Fortunately, players only need one Netherite ingot to upgrade their weapons, but getting this ingot will still be a big problem.
